With a career spanning roles as a K-12 teacher, college instructor, and Health Director for the Central Valley Health Network, Luis has dedicated his life to serving the public. His work has always focused on providing essential services to the most vulnerable populations in Fresno.

As a Fresno City Councilmember, Luis has led significant initiatives that have brought tangible improvements to the community. From building health clinics to creating senior centers, his efforts have consistently delivered positive outcomes for Fresno residents.

Luis Chavez been instrumental in spearheading the Rebuild Fresno Initiative. Through this strategic proposal focused on the infrastructure of Fresno's oldest neighborhoods, Luis Chavez has ensured these South Fresno communities receive the attention and resources they deserve. However, to expand these efforts and address broader county-wide issues, strong leadership is needed at the Board of Supervisors.
